4th Annual York-Leeds Inter Club Competition
Our Annual Competition with LSKC took place this year on Sunday 06th September 2015 at the York Elite Dojo. The competition which originated as a way of remembering the late great Sensei Randolph Williams 6th Dan KUGB, who was the Chief Instructor at LSKC but also taught at York Elite helping forge strong links between the clubs.

Our newest black belt...
Congratulations to Eleanor Poels on gaining her 1st Dan Black Belt at Lancaster on 07th August under the watchful eyes of Sensei Andy Sherry 9th Dan and Sensei Frank Brennan 8th Dan.
Eleanor turned 9 years old only days before her grading so it was a fantastic achievement and reflected a great attitude to training since she joined York Elite at 6 years old.
Well done Eleanor.
2015 KUGB England Squad
Congratulations to York Elite Karateka Fraser Grice, Cayleigh McCartney, Connor Dunckley, James McNichol and Joseph Lines who have all been selected to the KUGB England Squad for 2015.
This is a big year with the World Championships in Poland and the European Championships in Crawley, England. We wish our Squad Members every success and look forward to cheering them all the way to the podium!

The 30th ESKA European Championships take place from Friday 27th November to Sunday 29th November 2015 at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley, West Sussex, UK. Details can be found through the KUGB website
Adults Only Class - Thursday Evenings
We have now started an Adults Only Evening Class on Thursdays at 7pm. The class is aimed at parents and adult members who either fancy starting karate or improving their techniques. The class will be structured so all levels can benefit and it will include fitness and conditioning exercise more suited to adults than in an all-age class. For more information please ask at the dojo.
